Site Updates | February 7, 2004

Our first update of the New Year, a little late...Don’t you think? Well, I guess it's how the saying goes, "Better late than never".

Anyway, I'm here to drop a quick update about a few sections that have been recently added to the site. The first being, Song and Album Commentary done for both "A Delicate Balance" and "11:59:59". These new additions to the site were written by "The man with too much time on his hands", Steve Ratchen. The commentary is definitely a great read for those who want to get "behind-the-scenes" in both Alchemy X albums. These new sections can be found in the discography section.

While on the subject of commentary, Steve also wrote up a detailed description for the individual subsections of the instrumental, "Renaissance" off of Alchemy X's "11:59:59" album. Just like the Song/Album commentary that he wrote, this too is very interesting. Just click on the song's title in the discography section to check it out.

Also recently added was an album review done by "Strutter Magazine" for "A Delicate Balance". You can check that out in the Review section.

I think that's just about it. Look for an update from the band in the next couple of weeks, and as always, take care.

Alchemy X Downtime | December 31, 2003

We apologize for the downtime here at Alchemy-X.Com. We had some issues with our current server and plan to move the website elsewhere, so there may be some more downtime in the weeks to come. We apologize for the inconvenience and wish everybody a Happy New Year!

Latest News | December 19, 2003

The band has already begun writing material for their next studio album, the as of yet untitled follow-up to “11:59:59”. Several new reviews of “59”, along with their 1999 debut record “A Delicate Balance” can be found in the reviews section. There have also been unconfirmed reports of a live album in the works, featuring material from each of the first two albums culled from various performances in 2003, so watch for more on each of those potential releases later in 2004 or 2005.

As for individual news, congratulations to drummer Chris Scorsese and bassist/keyboardist Steve Ratchen for their continuing endorsements with Vater and Conklin respectively. Steve has recently had his profile added to the Conklin site. Click Here to check that out.

Congratulations also to vocalist Bob Mitchell for his triumphant return to the stage with Attacker at Maxwell’s in Hoboken on December 13th.

Finally, on a personal note, congratulations to guitarist Rob Schreiber on his engagement and subsequent wedding planned for July of 2004! We all wish him nothing but the best!

Happy Holidays everyone!
